On the unfortunate day, Naksh was playing with his friends in the Chawl’s balcony. He slipped and fell headlong, impact was strong enough, he slipped into coma immediately with couple of bones broken.
He was shifted in ICU at Criticare Hospital, Thane. This was going to be prolonged treatment and expensive too. TBCF was referred this case for support. Team TBCF and Donors responded immediately and necessary funds was collected to sponsor the treatment.
Now Naksh is able to walk independently and able to complete his necessary chores.
Mrs. Sharda gave birth to twins in the month of Sept 2023. Their first children after 15 years of marriage, but babies were born with much complications like Low birth wt., respiratory issues. The twins were shifted to NICU and remained hospitalized for almost 3 months.
With great effort by Doctors and Staff of NEOCARE Hospital, Nashik, the babies recovered and were fit enough to go back home.
Parents of babies conveys their gratitude to all medical team, and Donors who in this critical time came forward to lend their helping hand.
Rugvedi kept falling ill frequently, her parents took her to Bharati Hospital, Pune for better diagnosis. She was detected with Atrial Septal Defect (ASD). It is a congenital heart defect. Patients with an ASD have a hole between the upper heart chambers. The hole increases the amount of blood going through the lungs.
Doctors suggested immediate surgery for closure of ASD.
TBCF team swung into immediate action arranging for necessary funds for the treatment. With support from kind hearted donors, team was able to fulfil the committed amount to Hospital. Now Rugvedi is absolutely fit and happy.
Baby of Ruchira was 1 month old, her case was referred to TBCF by the Asian Institute of Medical Sciences, Dombivili, Dist- Thane in the month of January 2023. She was diagnosed with Extreme Pre-Term(26 weeks)/ELBW 660 gms with critical medical management(Multiple critical lifesaving medications with ventilatory support).
Baby’s father was a small-time employee in a small factory with small earnings and the cost of treatment was Rs. 7,78,414. The parents were totally helpless in arranging the required amount is a such short time.
TBCF quickly activated all the volunteers and approached all the donors for her cause. With the support of the donors, the amount was mobilized in a very short time, the same amount was paid to the hospital to ensure uninterrupted treatment of the baby.
Finally, the Baby of Ruchira was cured and discharged from the hospital on 16th March 2023.
A sensitive issue amongst adolescent girls is proper menstrual hygiene management. We started addressing this issue in a very focused and planned process from Sept 2020 and could help 3884 beneficiaries to understand, and follow best hygienic practices during the menstrual cycle (updated till April 2021). The Baby Care Foundation initiated this project in Dist's of Palghar (Maharashtra) Mumbai and Kolkata.
With support of CSR funding The Baby Care Foundation constructed Hygienic toilets, urinals, installed washbasins at schools directly benefitting more than 500 children.
Country went into lockdown mid-2020, and daily wage earners lost their source of income. The Baby Care Foundation volunteers took up the initiative to provide dry nutritious food for the affected. We supported 650 families during the initial lockdown phase. The Baby Care Foundation was awarded with Certificate of Appreciation from FSAI.
With support of CSR funding The Baby Care Foundation provided Automated Electric wheel chairs to young children. This reduced their dependency on their movement and can independently become mobile attending school and carry on their normal routine. This project was implemented in Mada Chawl, Sion Koliwada, Mumbai.
